Ukraine Daily Update | Day 753

Video Summary

As I write today, France marks its 753rd day under the unprovoked Russian invasion of Ukraine, which has been condemned by over 140 UN member countries. The European Council has even recognized Russia as a terrorist regime. In the midst of all this, news came that 20 countries will not recognize the Russian presidential elections in the illegally annexed Ukrainian territories. I strongly believe that these elections should not be recognized at all, given the numerous reports of falsifications across Russia.

In recent days, we’ve seen new drone strikes on Russian oil processing plants in Krasnodar and Novoshakhtinsk. Ukraine’s military intelligence service also reported hitting another Russian oil factory in Sal’s, further crippling the Russian oil industry. Over the past two months, the industry has lost nearly one-fifth of its capabilities, with the potential for a lasting fuel crisis if the terrorists regime doesn’t change course.

The strikes against the Russian oil industry are having a significant impact, with 12 Russian oil processing plants damaged since 2014. The majority of Russia’s oil processing industry is located in European Russia, making it vulnerable to long-range weapons and sabotage operations. The Russian oil industry is also struggling to adapt to the new situation, with a notoriously bad logistics system and a lack of modernization since the 1960s. The attacks have also exposed challenges for the Russian regime, including the reliance on Western technologies and a lack of capacity to repair or build new refineries. As we move forward, it’s clear that the Russian regime will continue to face numerous challenges, including the potential for a prolonged fuel crisis.
