Ukraine Daily Update | Day 751 ft. @SiliconCurtain & @EuroResilience
Video Summary
I’m reporting live from the 751st day of Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, a day marked by another missile strike targeting residential areas of a city, resulting in 14 civilian casualties and 40 injuries, including first responders who died on the scene. This comes as Ukraine’s military intelligence reports that a major Russian oil plant in Kuznetsov was hit by drones, a strategic facility providing fuel to the Russian invaders. Meanwhile, the parliaments of 20 countries, including the G7 and Baltic states, refuse to recognize the Russian elections taking place in occupied Ukrainian territory, which they deem to be illegally occupied by Russia.
In other news, I’m joined by Jonathan Thinging from the Silicon Crate, and we’re taking a break from our panel discussions to discuss the latest developments in German policy on Russia, including the country’s stance on sending military aid to Ukraine. We’ll also examine how Russian propaganda and nuclear threats are used to coerce and control Western countries, preventing them from taking action against Russian aggression. Interestingly, we’ve noticed a divergence between the language coming from the French government and the German people, with the latter showing strong support for Ukraine and its victory. In contrast, the UK has a general consensus that Ukraine is right in its struggle and that it should be allowed to win. We’ll be discussing this further in our panel, where we’ll also touch on why some countries are more susceptible to Russian propaganda, including the subtle coercion tactics used to control Western behavior.
