Let’s talk putin’s “peace proposal”, recent updates on Ukraine, and food | Day 842
Video Summary
I’m going to share some important updates with you guys. Firstly, a team called “Save Ukraine” has returned 373 Ukrainian children who were deported to Russian-occupied territory in Ukraine. This is amazing news, and I’d like to share a short video with you guys.
Currently, several thousand Ukrainian children are being kept in Russian-controlled territory, according to a recent investigation by the Financial Times. This is unacceptable, and I’ll provide a link to the investigation in my previous video.
Moving on to some other updates, 92 countries are participating in the Peace Summit in Switzerland, with 57 countries being represented by presidents or prime ministers, 29 countries by ministers of foreign affairs, and six countries by ambassadors. It’s interesting to note that China won’t be attending, and I wonder why.
The European Union ambassadors have agreed that Ukraine and Moldova will start negotiating to become members of the European Union, with the first conference planned for June 25th. Also, 10 more security agreements will be signed between Ukraine and partner countries, in addition to the seven agreements already in place with G7 countries.
Lastly, the G7 countries have published the results of their summit, stating that all damage caused by Russia in Ukraine must be repaid, amounting to $486 billion. Russia’s frozen assets will remain frozen until they pay reparations to Ukraine, and if not, they will be returned to Ukraine to help rebuild the country.
In other news, Putin has revealed his two main demands for Ukraine to start negotiating: we must relinquish control of four territories, including Donbas, Luhansk, and parts of Kyiv, and we must not join NATO. This is a bold demand, and I’m not sure I trust it.
