Additionally, I, along with my friend Anna from Ukraine, today’s stream is a unique opportunity for me to share some Ukrainian curses with you. I have to admit, I was puzzled when the topic of cursing was proposed, as I rarely use bad words. However, after discovering the Ukrainian vocabulary, I was surprised by the differences between Ukrainian and Russian curses. Ukrainian curses are not used frequently, but they do exist, and we will explore them today.
We will start with the word “oblio,” which means something like “badly made” or “ugly.” It’s used to describe someone who doesn’t react properly or can’t fulfill a task. Then, we’ll move on to “dur,” which means “idiot.” We’ll also explore “dorohvy,” which means “clumsy” or “uncoordinated.” Additionally, we’ll examine the use of “yaki” and “pero,” which are both used to describe crazy situations or people.
We’ll also discuss the famous Russian comedian Slava Marlow, who is known for his humorous cursing. In conclusion, this stream is about exploring the Ukrainian language and learning how to curse in a foreign language. It’s not about being rude, but rather about being aware of the language and its Idioms.
