Russian aerial bombs strike Konstiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast, killing 1 and injuring 2

Russian forces launched guided aerial bombs on Konstiantynivka, Donetsk Oblast, on Sunday afternoon, reported Vadim Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.

Konstiantynivka, located in the Ukrainian-controlled part of Donetsk Oblast, faces frequent Russian strikes. This aligns with Russia’s broader strategy to advance through key Donetsk cities, as outlined by Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces. The Russian plan appears to involve a step-by-step advance through Chasiv Yar, Konstiantynivka, Druzhkivka, Sloviansk, and Kramatorsk, aiming to extend control to the Donetsk Oblast’s borders.

“One person has died, and two are injured – these are the preliminary consequences of the strikes on Konstiantynivka,” Filashkin wrote on Telegram.

The bombardment damaged residential buildings, public infrastructure, and power lines. Local authorities urge residents to evacuate immediately as attacks continue.
