Poland to request access to secret annexes of Zelenskyy’s “Victory Plan”
Poland will request access to classified annexes of Ukraine’s victory plan, Deputy Foreign Minister Wladyslaw Teofil Bartoszewski told Poland’s national news agency PAP in an interview on 21 October.
Bartoszewski’s comments came after Poland’s exclusion from both a high-level meeting with US President Joe Biden and allegedly the list of countries receiving Zelenskyy’s victory plan details. The meeting, held on 18 October 2024, included French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss the Russian war in Ukraine and Middle East situation.
“We have provided Ukraine with military help in the most crucial way, because when Germany was talking about sending them helmets, we sent them 320 tanks,” Bartoszewski told PAP. “Therefore, our input has evidently been substantial, especially in the beginning, when it was most needed.”
PAP claims Zelenskyy had stated the plan’s files “have been given to those countries, which specifically have the means to support Ukraine,” allegedly adding that there would be no point in sharing them with countries lacking such means, even if they were close partners.
Bartoszewski said the Polish foreign ministry would discuss this matter with Ukrainian officials, emphasizing ongoing communication between the countries. He also stated that Ukraine’s reconstruction would be impossible without Polish participation.
