Kursk: Russia Builds Pontoon Bridge Near Destroyed Glushkovo Bridge, Ka-52 Crash Site, T-72 Captured
Video Summary
Recently, Ukraine released new videos showing the aftermath of the Russian incursion into Kers. One notable clip shows wreckage of a Car 52 helicopter, which was reportedly hit by a MANPAD at point-blank range. The crash site was geolocated by Mock Lassen on Twitter and found to be close to the border, in Ukrainian-controlled territory. This is the second Car 52 confirmed destroyed, and given Russia’s fleet of 133 airframes, it’s a significant loss.
Ukraine also released a compilation of FPV drone strikes targeting Russian vehicles and logistics. The footage shows a mix of trucks, SUVs, and Mi-28s being hit by drones. While not all hits are confirmed, most show the drones striking the vehicles, and in some cases, the drone operators are seen shooting at the same vehicle multiple times to disable it.
The Russian supply convoy is crucial to the Frontline troops’ ability to fight, and Ukraine’s tactics have effectively stalled Russia’s advance by targeting and destroying these convoys. Russia’s 61st Car 52, a rare and significant loss, is a sign of the effectiveness of Ukraine’s strategy.
In other news, Russia has set up a pontoon bridge near the destroyed Gyun Bridge, which is now within range of Ukrainian artillery and drones. While it’s unlikely Russia will use this bridge to move heavy vehicles, it may be used for resupply and truck transport. Ukraine has also captured another tank, a rare T-72B3, adding to their arsenal.
