Ukraine to Take Back Kherson This Summer

Video Summary

Ukraine continues to strike a key bridge in the Russian-occupied south, with the Ukrainian military using high-mars missile systems to target the Onotovsky Bridge. Despite Russian claims of destroying the launchers, the Pentagon has confirmed that all US-supplied high-mars systems are still in operation. Ukraine’s President Zelensky recently announced a counter-offensive to retake the southern region, which is aimed at discouraging potential collaborators in the oblast of Herzon.

The Ukrainian military is focusing on isolating Russian forces occupying the city of Kurzon, which has a population of nearly 300,000. The city is a strategic location, as it provides a buffer for Russian forces and gives them a foothold in Ukraine. Ukraine’s goal is to push Russian forces back to the south side of the Dnipro River, which would create a natural barrier between Ukrainian and Russian forces.

The CIA Director and MI6 Chief recently made a public appearance, where they discussed Russia’s war effort. The CIA Director stated that Putin believes the US will suffer from attention deficit disorder and lose interest in the war, but the MI6 Chief believes Russia is running out of steam, having lost many men and materials. The two spy chiefs also addressed rumors about Putin’s health, with the CIA Director stating that there is no evidence of serious illness.

In other news, Russia and Ukraine signed a UN-backed deal to resume grain exports via the Black Sea, which is expected to avert a global catastrophe of famine and food insecurity. The deal allows Ukrainian vessels to guide ships through mined waters with a localized truce, and Turkish officials will inspect the shipments to ensure no weapons are being smuggled into Ukraine. Russia’s agreement to the deal was likely motivated by the threat of economic sanctions being lifted.
