Russia Still Has No Plan in Ukraine
Video Summary
Ukraine’s Armed Forces have confirmed the identity of a Ukrainian prisoner of war who was murdered by Russian forces. The man, Alexander Moscowetsky, was a fighter with the 163rd Battalion and was killed outside the city of Soledar. His body was returned to Ukraine and he is currently buried in a military cemetery outside of Kiev.
Meanwhile, Russia launched a massive missile and drone attack on Ukraine, killing at least six people and injuring seven. The attack was carried out using Moldovan airspace to avoid Ukrainian air defense systems. Ukraine’s air defense systems were able to shoot down 38 of the 83 drones and missiles launched by Russia, but the country’s Air Force spokesperson confirmed that Ukraine’s air defense systems cannot shoot down Russia’s Hypersonic missiles.
The Russian military has also been accused of targeting civilian infrastructure, including energy facilities, in an attempt to inflict suffering on the Ukrainian population. The city of Kharkiv has been particularly affected, with over 1 million people currently without electricity, water, or heat.
In other news, Iran has delivered ammunition to Russia on the Caspian Sea, and Russia has reportedly supplied enriched uranium to China. The Russian government has also been accused of threatening Georgia, a country with a population of just 3.7 million, after protests broke out against a proposed foreign agents law.
Finally, Slovakia and Poland have announced that they are ready to send their MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine, and Latvia has sent cars seized from drunk drivers to help Kiev.
