Ukrainian military receives 65 ambulances from NATO
NATO has delivered 65 ambulances to Ukraine’s Armed Forces as part of its Comprehensive Assistance Package (CAP), NATO in Ukraine reports.
NATO donated ambulances to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in response to Ukraine’s urgent needs request, NATO officials said.
The delivery is part of NATO’s broader support framework, which has evolved significantly since 2022.
The CAP was revised at the Madrid Summit in 2022 and then transformed at the Vilnius Summit in July 2023 into a multi-year assistance program addressing Ukraine’s short-, medium-, and long-term needs.
At the Washington Summit 2024, NATO members reinforced their commitment to Ukraine’s security with pledges of long-term assistance.
This latest ambulance delivery follows a separate contribution of 18 ambulances from Slovakia to Ukrainian medical services on 25 October.
