Ukrainian resistance and intelligence destroy key Russian supply route in occupied Berdiansk in Zaporizhzhia Oblast
Ukrainian intelligence officers, together with partisans in the city of Berdiansk, in Zaporizhzhia Oblast have blown a railway bridge used by Russian troops to transport military cargo, a source in Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Directorate (HUR) told UNIAN.
The bridge’s destruction has completely paralyzed rail connections to Berdiansk, which has been occupied by Russian forces since 2022. This disruption has halted the delivery of fuel, weapons, and ammunition to the Russian military in the occupied Ukrainian city. The operation is allegedly a part of Ukraine’s efforts to halt a Russian offensive on Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

“The HUR and resistance movement have conducted a successful special operation. Local residents reported several powerful explosions on social media last evening. As a result of sabotage actions, the railway viaduct (bridge) located between the Vodokanal building and a car wash on Vostochny Prospekt was blown up,” the source said.
While local occupation media outlets and propagandists claim that “all bridges are intact,” HUR notes that they are not showing any photos to confirm their reports.
Earlier, a Russian collaborator, a Ukrainian judge, Vitalii Lomeiko, was found dead in Berdiansk, revealed the HUR.
A car near the port exploded, killing Lomeiko, who was involved in persecuting Ukrainians under occupation and committing war crimes.
