Ukraine Daily Update | Day 621
Video Summary
As I report from Ukraine, it’s day 621 of the Russian invasion. Yesterday, Russian missiles targeted the National Art Museum in Odessa, striking just a few meters off the mark, causing damage to the building. It’s clear that the Russian military is desperate to inflict damage on Ukraine’s cultural and historical sites, showing no regard for the consequences of their actions.
The past 24 hours have seen 87 air strikes on Kherson, the only major city captured by Russian forces in 2022 and later liberated by Ukrainian defenders. Despite their military failures, the Russian military is preparing for winter strikes on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure, aiming to cause more destruction and suffering.
Additionally, Ukraine’s Armed Forces have reported that over 4,000 cyber attacks were deflected, not just against Ukraine but also against Western countries. Russian propagandists have been waging informational warfare, spreading misinformation and deliberate disinformation to European media outlets.
In 2023, analysts found over 8,000 cases of Russian propaganda in media outlets from six European countries. Poland, a key ally of Ukraine, suffered the most severe attack, with almost 1,900 cases of misinformation identified. Can your country resist the Russian propaganda machine’s disinformation campaign? Tonight, I’ll discuss this further on my channel.
Unfortunately, it’s clear that the Russian military is driven by aggression and racial superiority, as seen in a recent report from a Moscow media outlet, where a Russian invader claimed to have come to Ukraine to experience a hot bath for the first time. It’s a stark reminder of the chaos and destruction caused by their actions. As I always say, “racism is worse than fascism; it contains no ideology whatsoever, it’s a chaos of death.” I wish you all a beautiful day.
