Hybrid warfare: Europe under attack | Day 622
Video Summary
As I record this video, I’d like to talk about informational warfare. It’s a tool used by countries, like Russia, to achieve military goals. It’s not a coincidence that Russia is fighting in Ukraine, while neglecting its own citizens’ welfare. In fact, the income from oil and gas resources goes straight to Putin and his associates, while Russians live in poverty.
Russia’s propaganda machine is a sophisticated tool to spread disinformation and propaganda through all sorts of media to achieve its military objectives. The purpose of informational warfare is to manipulate public opinion, create discord, and undermine trust in institutions and democratic values. Believe it or not, this is a strategy they’ve been using for years.
Not only do they promote divisive narratives and exploit existing tensions, but they also spread hate speech and racist sentiments to create chaos. They have even been known to promote ultra-nationalist ideas in other countries to destroy partnership and cooperation between nations.
Their goal is to sow discord between allies in Europe and even within individual countries. How do you think European countries can withstand a Russian military invasion? I think it’s hard to imagine, which is why NATO was created. The Russian goal is to destroy unity, and they’re doing it by spreading disinformation and propaganda.
In Ukraine, we’re fighting for a better life, driving progress and change from the bottom up. In Russia, they’re fighting to capture territories and resources, never to help their own citizens. And don’t be fooled, their propaganda is just a weapon of the military.
