Ukraine Daily Update | Day 639
Video Summary
As I report on the 639th day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, I’ve come across some disturbing news from Koy, where a Russian military unit was hit by Ukrainian strike drones. According to Russian media, the drones were intercepted and a massive fire on the base was just a celebratory fireworks display. However, I have to call out the usual Russian propaganda for what it is – a blatant lie. In reality, the Russian military is taking severe losses, with over 1,100 Invaders killed in the last 24 hours alone.
Meanwhile, the Russian forces continue to launch cruise and ballistic missiles targeting civilian infrastructure and using Iranian-made Shahed drones. The attacks are terrifying, but the Ukrainians are fighting back with all their might. As of now, over 800 missiles have been stockpiled in preparation for further attacks on Ukrainian cities. I’ve included a recent video showing a cemetery full of Russian airborne troops eliminated in the 2022 conflict, a grim reminder of the devastating consequences of Russia’s actions.
I also want to share a personal update – I received a package from the relatives of a fellow soldier in my brigade, containing some Californian clothes, nuts, and a beautiful postcard with a sticker of the San Francisco flag. I’m excited to share this story, as my life is somehow connected to California, having participated in an international military exercise with the California National Guard in 2016. I was awarded a coin and a flag of the State of California, which I keep at home, and I hope to bring it with me on my next visit to the US. Until next time, stay safe, and I wish you all a beautiful day.
