Top Misconceptions about Ukraine | Dissecting Fakes & Disinformation
Video Summary
I’m sitting down to share some facts and debunking myths about Ukraine. I’ve got a huge list of misconceptions to go through, and I’m excited to share it with you. One of the most popular myths is that Ukraine is the most corrupt country in Europe. But, let’s take a look at the data from Transparency International’s corruption perception index. Ukraine ranks 116th, and its score is improving. In fact, compared to Russia, which ranks 137th and has a lower score.
Another myth is that the 2014 coup in Ukraine was orchestrated by the CIA. But, let’s look at the facts: it was a revolution, not a coup, led by the Ukrainian people, and it resulted in a democratic election of the new president and government.
I’ve also got some excitement to share about my tattoos – I have seven, and one of them says “Will be’ in Russian. I’ve also got some favorite Ukrainian cheeses, like Sman Kovi, which is a bit sour and salty and addictive.
I’ll also be talking about the situation for soldiers in Ukraine during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as my experiences with melted cheese and warmwood. And, stay tuned for my upcoming stream with Alena from the Propaganda Study Institute, where we’ll be discussing the Russian society and some fascinating insights on personality disorders. Thanks to everyone who supports my channel, and I’ll see you all next time!
