Satellite Imagery of 4 Russian Air Bases: 3 Tu-160 Bombers Being Repaired & Vulnerable to Attack
Video Summary
A recent satellite image shows the composition of Russian air bases, including the Bariso GTs. Air Base, which is used for experimental work and testing aircraft. At least three Su-30M2 bombers are present, one of which is being repaired and another is partially disassembled. Additionally, the base has 9 Su-22M3 bombers, two Il-76 transport aircraft, and Airbus A320s. The base is a potential target for Ukraine, but its capabilities may not be sufficient to hit it. On the other hand, the base is vulnerable to attack, as it has been targeted by Ukraine in the past.
Another important base is Baya, which is home to various aircraft, including Su-22M3s, Su-30M2s, and Il-295 Bears. This base has been deployed as a temporary measure to keep the aircraft safe from Ukrainian drones. Ukraine’s ability to attack this base is unlikely, given the distance from the border and the range of Ukrainian drones.
Finally, the Innograd and Nogrodsk bases were shown to have a total of 20 MiG-31 fighters, as well as Il-76 transport aircraft capable of delivering Hypersonic missiles. The base has been targeted by Ukraine twice in August, resulting in damage to buildings and aircraft. It is a potential target for Ukraine, but its distance from the border and the range of Ukrainian drones pose a challenge.
