Estonian reacts to the Assassination of J.F.K.
Video Summary
In 1963, President John F. Kennedy’s presidency was cut short when he was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. On November 22, Kennedy’s motorcade was passing through Dealey Plaza when shots were fired, one striking Kennedy in the neck and another causing fatal head injuries. The President was pronounced dead at Parkland Memorial Hospital. The suspected assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, was arrested and later shot by nightclub owner Jack Ruby, who claimed it was to spare Mrs. Kennedy the pain of a trial. The Warren Commission, led by Chief Justice Earl Warren, concluded that Oswald acted alone, but many disagreed, believing there was a second shooter on the “grassy knoll.” The investigation into the assassination and Oswald’s background raised more questions than answers, leaving many Americans seeking truth and justice.
